Who taught us not to remember the future

Who taught us not to remember the future

This dance duet offers the two dancers many ways to open the window. Hopefully they will find their way.

Choreographer Rita Vilhena of Baila Louca explores and conceptualizes, while she remains close to her thoughts and experiences. In the dance-performance "Who taught us not to remember the future" the two dancers are in fact one person. Metaphores are used, like the doors - as point of access or escape, and boxes - as containers of thoughts and memories. The music is like a third dancer, that dances along, listens, and sometimes stays silent...

There is a 36-minute documentary about the project on Vimeo.
