Yesterday evening was Vocal Night in the Unie. On Vocal Night, several musicians accompany a singer, the repertoire is being decided on the spot, and sometimes the musicians have never played together before. Exciting.

This time the band consisted of me on keyboards, Lean Robbemont on drums, Michel van Schie on bass, David Rockefeller on trumpet, and the British gospel-singer Jennifer Phillips. Jennifer did some backing vocals for Mariah Carey...

Unfortunately no recordings have been made, because Jennifer was singing fantastic, very soulful, and everyone had a great time.
