Pianosolo #1
Listening to a pianosolo is enlightening; transcribing a solo note-for-note is...well, a monk's job but very interesting as well - sometimes, after notation, you discover certain things in someones' playing. Frasing, timing, choice of notes and space.

In the second chorus of "Wrinkles" by Wynton Kelly, the pianist plays many sixteenth note lines, sometimes an altered scale, and sparse use of the left hand. His timing of eighth notes is só late, that each second eighth note almost hits the fourth sixteenth note.
Have fun practising,
Kino
